Paulo Marques

Paulo Lourenço Marques, Master in Mechanical Engineering, has been focusing on the development of clean and efficient energy solution throughout his career. He currently assumes the position of Chief Technical Officer in Caetanobus. In parallel, he Heads Electric Mobility Department in the same group, leading development projects focused on electric-powered buses for City and Airport applications. His team also develops new hydrogen-powered buses, which were launched in 2019 in partnership with TOYOTA, placing Caetanobus on the manufactures circles that can offer this technology to the market. From 2016 to 2018, he was Application Engineer in BORGWARNER EMISSIONS & THERMAL SYSTEM, where he developed engines’ Exhaust Gas Return (EGR) systems for the most prominent worldwide commercial vehicles customers. From 2014 to 2015, he became Development Team leader in CAETANOBUS of City-bus and Airport buses Cobus®. In 2012, he embraced the Project Management of the European Project “D2EU-Diesel to Electric Upgrade”, that became the first e.Cobus awarded with the Portuguese prize “Inovação NOS 2015”. In 2010 he starts in CAETANOBUS as Development Engineer, where he joined the 1st Portuguese chassis development team for diesel and electrical drive trains. Before 2010, he was the Promoter and Co-founder of QUATTRO ENERGY, a start-up renewable energy company, right after his first job as Maintenance Manager in PANARIA GROUP for 5 years.
