Angie has spent the last 20 years developing company strategies within the water and energy sectors. She recently joined Cadent as Strategy Director having spent the last 10 years at Centrica where she developed the British Gas Business energy services strategy, developed and launched a range of new customer propositions and set out the contracting and labour strategy for British Gas’s 10,000 engineers.
At Cadent, Angie is focusing on the approach to delivery of Net Zero, the energy transition and the role that gases such as hydrogen have in the future energy mix.
Before Centrica, she was at Anglian Water, where her responsibilities included managing wastewater networks, heading up an R&D programme and then taking on responsibility for all things energy and carbon emissions.
Angie, is a huge advocate of the utilities sector, loving the fact that the services provided are invisible yet essential. She is a big supporter of environmental, climate change and diversity issues and is a Founder of the Women’s Utilities Network, which focuses on supporting the development of the careers of women in the utilities sector.
She lives in Yorkshire with her husband and two young children.
